It’s tapping into their intrinsic motivation which motivates them to go above and beyond.

Management is planning, time management, and urging others along either by punishment or reward. It’s temporary in effect and constant in nature.

Speaking of leadership, the concept of “Level 5 Leadership” is a fascination one. Such leaders are “timid and ferocious, shy and fearless, rare and unstoppable.”

I would add that leadership in action also means being able to view a challenge from several perspectives. Good leaders do this all the time, or surround themselves with those who can, such as a liberal arts graduate!
